Our topic from January to April was ‘Tickets Please’. We were busy the whole time doing various activities. One of them that was suggested by the learners led us to transform our classroom into a movie screen. We employed our drama skills and did some role play. We also got our money and bought our tickets, snack and drinks and found our allocated seat. So we worked not only on our money skills but also on our coordinates and social skills.
Eagles have also worked hard for the exhibition we organised on the 30th of May; the “Eagles’ Gallery”! What a successful event!
We had lots of visitors coming to see all the exhibits. The feedback was very positive and it seems there is demand for our young artists to organise a second exhibition in the future!
Eilidh, Liam, Haumie, Jack and Ben did an excellent job. They have all worked hard on their individual exhibits but they have also managed to collaborate beautifully to create an amazing real size Eagle under the guidance of our very creative Ruth Hollins! I also need to mention that the young artists have shown excellent organisational skills and lovely manners, making and distributing a poster, setting a table for refreshments and biscuits, creating a visitors’ book, explaining their inspiration and art work to their guests as well as the PowerPoint which was playing on the big smartboard. There was also some classic music playing on the background! What an ambience! Eagles you should be very proud of yourselves!!!
